Demo build — Prairie Table is a fictional restaurant. Site design by Free State Web, Topeka KS.

Seasonal Kansas cooking,
from farms we know by name.

A small menu that changes with the fields around us. Wood-fired, unhurried, and worth the drive from anywhere in Shawnee County.

Our story

Twelve tables. One wood fire. Zero shortcuts.

Prairie Table started as a Sunday supper club in a farmhouse kitchen outside Silver Lake. Word spread the way good gravy does — slowly, then all at once.

Today we cook the same way in a hundred-year-old brick storefront downtown: whole animals, heirloom grains, vegetables picked that morning. If it isn't in season within a day's drive, it isn't on the plate.

— June & Harlan Weber, owners

"The kind of place you drive past for years, then can't stop talking about once you finally stop."
